I married my sweetheart on September 12, 1987.  Twenty-three years later, I still thank the Lord daily for my husband.  He is the Lord's best gift to me.  He is an ocean of treasure, into whose depths I sometimes feel I have barely dipped my toes.

Daily surprising, annoyingly spontaneous, always special.  Yeah, we fight.  But not much.  He is my Googly-Bear.  (Pamela, you're right--sometimes love is mushy-gushy!)

My rock, standing on the Rock.

The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man."
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother,
and be joined to his wife;
and they shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2:23-24 nasb

  1. Oh, Christine, what loving photos and what a lovely anniversary post. I hope you celebrated and enjoyed your day. Happy Anniversary!!

  2. I just LOVED these photos. You can just "see" how much love you have for your husband. Very beautiful.

    Blessings and ((HUGS))
    In Him<><

  3. Happy Anniversary, you two!!! That was beautiful, to read and to look at! May God bless you with many more loving years together

  4. Thank you, dear ladies, for your comments. We had a wonderful day, though we celebrated a friend's son's baptism instead of "us."

    This Sunday is the big day!! I'm surprising Fernando with a trip to where Glenview Naval Air Station used to be (where he proposed to me on the edge of the runway). It's now a pretty shopping area, so we're going to wander, reminisce, and shoot some photos. Then a restaurant, then to Waukegan to fish--that's Fernando's part of our day, but I will have my camera and will get to try city skyline photos for the first time!
